Raw Indian Hair vs Virgin Hair - What's the Scoop?

When it’s time to talk about quality hair extensions, people know virgin hair and Remy hair but do not bring into play raw hair. Even though virgin and raw hair are similar in stature, there are some differences between the two. We have the breakdown of the two to better help you decide which one to get for your next install:

Raw Hair

Raw hair is 100% unprocessed and is collected from one donor that has not had any heat applied to it. It comes in its natural state and the bundles can be a lot fuller.
  • Not altered in any way, 100 % unprocessed chemically

  • 100% human hair

  • Sourced from the same donor

  • Premium quality

  • Can come straight, curly, and wavy

Virgin Hair

Virgin hair can be 100% unprocessed chemically but may undergo steamed processing to preserve the integrity of the cuticles and hair as well as achieve different textures.
  • 100% unprocessed chemically
  • 100 % human hair
  • Sourced from the same or multiple donors
  • Premium quality
  • Can come straight, curly and wavy

Which is better?

One is not necessarily better than the other because there can be both high and low quality of both. What it all comes down to are sourcing, production, and donors. So when trying to decide, don't go for one over the other for the simple fact of their names but look into the quality behind each bundle individually.
